项目摘要

本研究では，バイリンガル（中日バイリンガル・英日バイリンガル）が新しい日本語の単語を学習するプロセスについて検討することを最終的な目標とするものである。2022年度は，バイリンガルにおける新たな単語の学習プロセスを検討するための前段階として，中日バイリンガルの単語認知に影響を及ぼす諸変数の特定と，中日バイリンガルが学習済みの単語に対する語彙競合の観察を試みた。まず，中日バイリンガルの単語認知に影響を及ぼす諸変数を特定するため，漢字二字熟語400語を用いて語彙判断課題と音読課題を実施した。各実験で得られたデータ（反応時間・誤反応率）に対し，（一般化）線形混合モデルによる分析をおこなった。その結果，中日バイリンガルの単語認知においては，日本語における単語出現頻度や，日本語能力の高さといった変数が影響することが明らかになった。これらの知見は，中日バイリンガルの単語認知を検討する際に操作あるいは統制すべき主な変数を示しており，本研究課題の主な目的である「バイリンガルにおける新たな単語の学習プロセス検討」を進める上で不可欠なデータである。さらに，バイリンガルは学習済みの単語に対して（母語話者と同じように）語彙競合を示すのか検討するため，漢字二字熟語200語を用いてマスク下プライミング語彙判断課題を実施した。その結果，中日バイリンガルに対しても語彙競合は観察されることが明らかになった。このことは，学習済みの語彙表象は母語話者とバイリンガルとで同じような性質を持ちうることを示しており，バイリンガルの新たな単語学習プロセスを検証する前に，あらかじめ確認しておく必要がある事実であった。ただし，本実験結果には，母語話者とバイリンガルとで異なる性質を示すデータも見られたことから，2023年度は本実験結果の追試を行う予定である。
