本研究は、陶磁器産業を対象として、複数の対象地域を選定し、現地調査による事例研究を行うことによって地場産業地域のまちづくりをめぐる今日的な可能性と問題点を抽出することを目的として進められた。今年度の調査対象となったのは、(1)岐阜県多治見市周辺(美濃焼産地)、(2)岡山県備前市周辺(備前焼産地)、(3)佐賀県西松浦郡有田町周辺(有田焼産地)、(4)石川県金沢市周辺(九谷焼産地)である。本研究では、各調査対象地域において統計・資料等の収集を行うとともに、行政、業界、各種社会団体等を対象とするインタビュー調査を実施した。一連の調査では、第一に、地場産業の歴史的な展開と変容を地域社会形成の基底要因として位置づけ、地場産業と自治体行政さらには住民生活との構造的な連関を把握することめざした。第二には、まちづくり=内発的発展の視点から、産業を含む地域諸資源の今日的な態様と変化をふまえ、これをめぐる業界、自治体、住民など諸主体の布置と対応を明らかにしようとした。これらの作業を通して、地場産業地域の地域社会を構造的・主体的に把握し、地域間の比較もふまえながら、主体的な地域形成のもつ可能性と問題の所在を明らかにすることに努めてきた。なお本年度得られた成果については、今後断続的に進める予定である補充調査もふまえながら、順次論文等の形で発表していきたいと考えている。

This study focuses on the selection of a number of target areas for the ceramic industry, and on the investigation of case studies. This year's survey targets: (1) Surrounding Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture (Minoyaki origin),(2) Surrounding Bemei City, Okayama Prefecture (Bemei origin),(3) Surrounding Arida-cho, Nishimatsuura Prefecture, Saga Prefecture (Arida-yaki origin),(4) Surrounding Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture (Kutani-yaki origin). This study was conducted on the basis of statistical data collected from various survey areas, administrative departments, industries, and various social organizations. A series of investigations, first, the development of the history of the field industry, the basic causes of the formation of the regional society, the location of the field industry, the administration of the local government, and the structure of the people's life. Second, the development perspective of the internal development, industry, including the current situation of regional resources, industry, autonomous bodies, residents, and the arrangement of the main body. The operation of the field, the regional and social structure of the field, the control of the main body, the comparison between regions, the possibility of the formation of the main body, and the location of the problem This year's achievements are in progress, and future developments are scheduled. Supplementary investigations are conducted, and sequential papers are presented.
