本年度は研究計画最終年度として、著書(共著)を1点と国際学会での研究発表を1点、および論文1本(印刷中)を形とした。まず出版された著書は『認知文法の新展開-カテゴリー化と用法基盤モデル』(研究社)で、学部学生および大学院生に向けた研究書である。ここではまず動的用法基盤モデルの概要について詳細に説明を行い、更に通時的言語変化への応用として、先行研究であるway構文や二重目的語構文、また研究者本人のhave構文の分析などを検討し、その有効性と今後の歴史変化研究への発展の可能性について述べている。また、言語習得論に関しての応用として、先行研究を広く概観し、それを敷衍してのhave構文の習得過程への考察を含め、用法基盤モデルの有望性と今後の課題について述べている。また、国際学会での研究発表としてHow Adjective Adjuncts are Motivated : A Usage-Based Account (2005.7.18 於 国際認知言語学会 韓国延世大学)を公表した。これはこの研究計画3ヵ年において着目してきた、英語において副詞が好まれるはずの自動詞隣接位置に形容詞が生じるケースについて、その意味的な制約と構文としての認定可能性について論じたものである。最後の論文1点については、公刊が遅れ印刷中であるが、『認知言語学と英語教育』(EX ORIENTE 15号)に執筆している。これは認知言語学がいかに英語教育の分野に貢献しうるのかについての試論で、構文研究、意味のネットワーク研究、および談話分析研究の3分野について個々にとりあげ、英語教育の現場に具体的に行える提言があることを示唆した。構文研究からは、現場で多用される書き換え練習が単なる器械的操作ではなく、ひとつの場面に対する複数のものの見方の練習という、認知パターンの転換練習であると示せること、意味ネットワーク研究からは熟語や動詞句の効果的な教授法について、また談話研究からは日英語の発想の違いに対する根本的な理解を促せること、を議論した。
