项目摘要

本年度は、前年度までの展開する教育関係について、総括的活動を試みた。その詳細は以下のとおりである。前年度より試みている『利休百首』について、論文の形にまとめることができた。茶の湯において文字として残された教育論を見出す作業として、道歌をその対象とし、検討を試みた。そのうえで、課題としていた『不白筆記』に見る教育論の位置づけを試みた。茶の湯における教育が、必ずしも口伝ではなく、テキストとして残されていた事実について、見出すことができた。関連して、茶の湯におけるテキストである茶書から教育論を見出す考察について、『不白筆記』を中心に、茶書の成立から位置づけをたどることから、教育史学会において提示した。教育史学へのアプローチを用いることによって新たに明らかとなったことは、ディシプリンとしての歴史、そして資料検討の重要性を重んじたうえで、教育史研究と教育思想研究の学際的見解から教育関係としての師弟関係の研究という展開余地である。教育学からの芸道教育の研究は先学に見出すことはできるが、それは方法論への還元を急いだ傾向がある。また、芸道広域を対象とするため、ひとつの技芸からの詳細な検討は展開余地がある。対象とする近世の茶の湯の教え学びの営みを「教育」のタームで扱うことについての妥当性については、「教育」の用語の成立背景を考えるならば、慎重にならねばならない。しかしながら、教え学びの営みという共通項を抽出することで、教育学の俎上で検討を試みることは、可能と考えられる。
