平成19年度は,研究の遂行に必要となるデータ,文献の収集,調査を行った。平成19年度に達成された主な研究実績は以下の通りである。研究課題に関する研究発表を日本都市学会第54回大会で行った。1980年代以降の東京大都市圏内部における人口と従業地の郊外化の要因を提示した。研究発表で得られた意見などをもとに修正を行った論文が,『日本都市学会年報』に査読付き論文として掲載されることとなった。今年度の研究から得られた主な知見は次の通りである。第一に,1980年代までに東京大都市圏では人口の郊外化が進んでいたが,1990年代にはその傾向がほぼ止まった。都心から距離の近い地域で,20歳代後半から30歳代の純流出率が低下したことが大きな要因である。それに対し,近年従業地の郊外化が急速である。過去から増加してきた郊外住民を対象にする個人向けのサービス業や,卸売・小売業,飲食店の成長が大きいためである。第二に,東京大都市圏の人口移動と出生率の分布の変化を考察した。過去から若年層を中心とした人口移動によって東京圏に居住する再生産年齢人口のウェイトが高まっている一方で,1980年代以降東京圏の出生率の低下が目立っている。都市圏のような地域単位での結婚行動や出生行動の分析が政策的にも重要であり,実証分析の結果を受けて政策的インプリケーションを考察した。第三に,中心都市と社会経済的に深く結びついた郊外とから形成される大都市圏において,通勤流動とその変化を分析することは重要である。東京や大阪の大都市圏において,郊外から中心部への通勤は,就業時間の長い通勤者が大半を占める。しかし,近年30歳代以上の女性短時間就業者の増加によって,徒歩や自転車を利用した住居近辺への短時間の通勤か増えている。就業活動空間は通勤者の属性によって異なり,その変化が雇用の郊外化とも関係を有することが示された。

The analysis of marriage and birth actions in urban areas is important for policy analysis, and the results of empirical analysis are subject to policy analysis. Third, the central city and social development of the deep structure of the city, the formation of metropolitan areas, commuting flow and transformation of the analysis of this important Tokyo Osaka metropolitan area, suburban areas, central areas, commuters, long hours of employment, commuters accounted for most of the time.
