大正自由教育期における社会系教科教育実践について,これまで実施してきた「授業レベル」の考察を土台にして,「教科カリキュラムレベル」にまで検討の視野を広げて検討を行った成果として,特に当時の東京市浅草区の小学校群が展開させた既存教科とは異なる新たな特設教科の開発実態が明らかとなった。特に,浅草小学校で開発された特設教科「生活科」は,当時の既存教科と並行的でありながらも,国土空間形成に対して社会生活空間の視点で対峙しうる教科カリキュラムの特質を有することが解明できた。

During the period of Taisho Free Education, the social education department conducted a survey on "teaching" and conducted a survey on "teaching".
