表皮にメラノサイトを維持し、ドキシサイクリンの投与および非投与にて表皮メラノサイトで代謝型グルタミン酸受容体1(mGluR1)の発現をon, offできるマウスを作成した。本マウスは早期に黒色腫を形成するので、黒色腫形成にかかわる分子機序の解析に有用である。また、ドキシサイクリンon, offによりmGluR1の発現を随時on, offにして解析した結果、mGluR1はメラノサイトの増殖、メラノサイトの悪性への形質転換、黒色腫の増殖に関わることが明らかとなった。
