Fundamental study of an anti-adhesive membrane for thoracic surgeries

对用于胸部手术特别是胸腔手术的防粘连膜进行了初步研究。研制了一种以明胶或透明质酸为原料，添加一定量甘油的生物可降解膜。体内和体外研究表明，测试的膜可有效防止胸膜腔粘连。这些理想结果的机制如下。膜中含有甘油，可以聚集和分散大量的水。与此同时，生长因子也被分散，导致伤口部位过量生长因子的稀释。

A pilot study for an anti-adhesive membrane for thoracic surgeries especially for the pleural cavity surgery was performed. A biodegradable membrane made of gelatin or hyaluronic-acid containing a certain amount of glycerin was developed. In vivo and in vitro studies showed that the tested membranes were effective to prevent adhesion in the pleural cavity. The mechanism of these desirable results was as follows. The membranes contained glycerin, which gathered and dispersed abundant water. Together with this, growth factors are also dispersed, resulting in dilution of excessive growth factors at the wound sites.
