Theoretical and Practical Study on the Reconstruction of World Geography Study

在2008年课程改革强化社会学“世界研究”的基础上，中小学的世界区域研究应从可持续发展教育的角度进行重构。为此，笔者通过对世界地理教学现状和教材内容的调查，以及对日本等国家教材开发情况的调查，以瑞典为例，开发了世界地理教材，并探讨了其实用性。

Based upon the enhancement of “study on the world" in social studies through the curriculum reform in 2008, regional studies on the world should be restructured from the viewpoint of Education for Sustainable Development in elementary and junior high schools. In this connection, I developed materials for teaching world geography in Sweden as an example and discussed its usefulness, through the survey on current teaching of world geography and textbook contents and investigation for material development in Japan and other countries.
