About elder abuse in a gap-widening society, which is getting more serious, the nation-wide main-in survey to departments with primary responsibility to elder care in all municipalities and 2000 community comprehensive care centers was done. The results were analyzed and methodologies for effective support and measures were considered. As the result, I figured out the real situation and number of cases of abuse by people on public assistance or the poor and needy. And it became clearthere are cases of death or serious situation by abuse.
