This research introduces a historical study in respect of intercultural communication based on comparisons between the vision of the Jesuit priest Alessandro Valignano in the sixteenth-century Japan and the vision of the Salesian priest Vincenzo Cimatti in the twentieth-century Japan, with regard to Japanese language and culture. The two priests have many common aspects and they are still highly esteemed for their efforts to create an educational environment for the succeeding generations and for applying the concept of "accommodatio" to their intercultural communication with Japanese people.

本研究介绍了一个跨文化交际方面的历史研究的基础上比较的愿景之间的耶稣会神父亚历山德罗Valignano在16世纪的日本和慈幼会神父Cimatti的愿景在20世纪的日本，关于日本的语言和文化。两位神父有许多共同点，他们为后代创造教育环境的努力，以及将“教育”概念应用于与日本人的跨文化交流，仍然受到高度尊重。
