项目摘要

本研究では、母子健康と労働供給の関係について分析を行う。特に、妊産婦を対象とした医療保健政策が、新生児の健康状態や発達状況を通じて、産後の親の就業に与える長期的な因果効果を検証する。加えて、母子が直面する地域景気要因、男女格差、保育所利用機会、仕事と育児の両立支援制度、父親の育児家事参加状況によって、因果効果の大きさが子供の年齢でどのように経年変化していくのかについても明らかにすることを目標としている。今年度は主に、実証分析のためのデータ整備を進めた。整備は、制度データと個人データそれぞれについて行った。制度に関しては、都道府県および市区町村単位で「妊婦健康診査の公費負担の状況について」の調査結果に基づき、公費負担額と回数について電子化を進めた。さらに、市区町村独自の子育て支援策についてのデータ整理の準備も進めた。個人については、「21世紀出生児縦断調査」と「人口動態調査」の個票利用申請を完了し、データの整理を行った。「21世紀出生児縦断調査」については分析データの構築を完了し、実際の分析を進めることができた。具体的には、母親が妊娠中の地域労働市場の変化が、子供の出生アウトカムやその後の発達状況、母親の労働供給に与える効果についての分析を進めた。研究成果の一部については、Brazilian Meeting on Family and Gender Economics 等の国内外の学会、研究会などで報告した。また、すでにディスカッションペーパーとして公表している関連研究については、内容を更新、論文を改訂したのち、国際学術誌に投稿した。
