本研究は、視覚障がい児者が使用して鑑賞を楽しむことができる触る（さわる）ツールの制作、開発を目的としている。これは、美術作品の触図と、（見えている状況に基づく）解説・鑑賞の文章を点訳してセットとしたものである。対象作品は、主に高松市美術館が所蔵している現代作家による絵画とする。2022年度は、試行的に当館の一作品を選び、触図化する許可を得た。紙材による原型を作成し、真空成形機（Vaquform）にかける作業工程で、紙材の種類や厚さ、Vaquformにかける温度等を試行錯誤中である。樹脂シートは0.25mmのPETGを購入、使用しているが、耐久性や硬度等がさらに理想的なブレイロンの国内購入が困難になっているため、入手ルートを探っている最中でもある。また、2021年に全館の随所にバリアフリーを導入してリニューアルオープンした長野県立美術館に赴き、建物や展示室の視察と共に、インクルーシブ・プロジェクトのために作成されたさまざまな触るツールや教材を見学し、担当学芸員から説明を聴いた。三枚折になった触図シートは、①原画の縮小カラーコピーと作家・作品の基本情報（墨字）、②作品についての説明（かたち、描き方、題材、鑑賞のヒントを墨字と点字で示す）、③触図（バーコ印刷）及び作家・作品の基本情報（点字）、という構成になっており、コンパクトにまとめられている印象を受けた。2022年11月には当館より依頼を受け、インクルーシブ・プロジェクト「みるを考えるー見えない人と見える人が一緒にみるためにー」で講師を努め、見えない人と見える人総勢約40名でコレクション展の鑑賞を行なった。これによって、鑑賞の自由な対話だけでなく、個々の視覚障害者の見え方や見えなさの状況、情報等「必要とされる対話」も導入し、見えない参加者が積極的に活動に取り組む姿が顕著であった。
