项目摘要

本研究の目的は、学部一年生を対象とした作文活動における学習過程をマルチモーダル化し、学びがどのように変化するかを分析することにある。ここでのマルチモーダル化とは、言語、身体動作や視線なの非言語、図や絵などの視覚的情報、道具、空間などの多様なモード（様式）を包括的に活用し、表現する活動を取り入れることを指す。学習者が文章を作成する過程で手書きスマートノートを活用し、思考のビジュアル化を行いながら、他者にそれを伝え、考えをまとめる一連の活動を分析した。初年度はパイロットスタディとして、2022年前期に研究代表者らが担当した「理系大学生のための表現技法」（授業回数8回×4クラス)において、手書きスマートノート「ロケットブック」を導入した。研究対象者約210名に配布し、最終課題前のプレゼン活動を準備するための授業におけるペアワークに使用した。ペアワークでは、随時ローテーションしていく形で活動を進め、各学生がどのような流れで文章を構成するかをビジュアル化しながら内容を説明する活動を繰り返した。その過程において、学習者は、クラスメートとの相互行為を通してフィードバックを得ながら修正を得た。一連の活動は全て録画・録音し、分析資料とした。図解の充実度と文章課題の最終評点の関係を調べた結果、マルチモーダル化の効果を文章課題の評点の差異という形では明確に示すことできなかったが、表現技法における個々人の学習ポイントの多様性が顕在化する可能性が示唆された。
