本研究の目的は，就業形態間―雇用部門から自営部門への（あるいは，逆の）―における職業移動を実証的に解明することであった．研究実施計画の2年目にあたる2014年度（平成26年度）は，これまでの研究成果をまとめることに取り組んだ．2014年度の研究実施状況は，学術論文（3本），分担著書（1本），学会（1本）の成果を挙げたことである．以下，主な研究実績の概要を報告する．分担著書「リビング・ウェイジを生みだす飲食店―地域が育む自営業による女性の就労」は，共同研究の成果の一部である．この論文は，ひとり親女性が，「リビング・ウェイジ（生活できる賃金） 」を得る就労の場とはいかなるのものか，について2011年から2014年までの聞き取り調査をもとにして執筆した．また，本著『就労支援を問い直す―自治体と地域の取り組み』は，2014年6月22日の日本経済新聞の書評欄でも取り上げられており，一定の成果を挙げていると言える．学術論文「日本における失業率の変動と自営業への参入」は，数理社会学会の学会誌である『理論と方法』に査読を通じて掲載されたものである．この論文では，日本における労働市場のマクロ的な特性である失業率とミクロ的な特性である個人要因の2つの観点から自営業への参入メカニズムを捉えることを目的して考察を行った．分析の結果,失業率の上昇と自営ブルーカラーへの参入には関連が見られない一方で, 失業率の上昇が自営ホワイトカラーへの参入を抑制する傾向が確認された.さらに,中小企業における就業経験は,自営業への参入を促進させると先行研究で指摘されてきたが,今回の分析結果では失業率が上昇すると中小企業からの移動が抑制される傾向が示された.この論文は，博士論文の核となるものである．以上が2014年度の研究実施状況の報告である．
