英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This study examines endocrine, metabolic, cardiovascular, cognitive function, subjective mood and sleepiness in persons who regularly get less than 7 hours sleep/night compared to persons regularly getting 8 or more hours of sleep/night. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether alterations in the above named variables occur in persons who will voluntarily curtail their sleep to less than 7 compared to thpose who sleep 8 or more hors per night.
