BINDING OF T4MO PROTEINS

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Recent work in the Fox lab showed that T4MOD (the effector protein) is capable of binidng T4MOC (the rieske ferredoxin) with mid nano-molar affinity. We will leverage the existing structures of these proteins to generate docked structures of T4MOC and T4MOD. 15N HSQC titrations will determine the interaction face on each of the proteins. The program HADDOCK will be used to dock the two protein structures together.
