This is a request to acquire a Scanning Probe Microscope (SPM) capable of atomic force microscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy imaging at solid-liquid interface. This instrument is capable of sub-nanometer resolution imaging of a variety of molecular and biomolecular structures adsorbed on surface, and is indispensable for our research in creation of novel self-assembled functional materials.
