This is a request for three field vehicles, one mobile laboratory and one quad trailer to support the field research of our ecology group that includes nine research teams. Every project that we are involved with, or will be involved within the next five years, requires the collection of long-term ecological data in different study systems and this involves the frequent and regular transportation of students and research equipment, often over large geographic areas and in difficult terrains. No longer having sufficient research vehicles to meet this need, our research productivity and our ability to properly train highly qualified personnel, especially students, is hampered. The requested field vehicles are therefore essential for the continuation of our research and training of HQP. In simple terms, our research will only be totally functional with the acquisition of this equipment.
