Data centres are an essential part of the mission of Thomson Reuters Corporation (TRC) to continuously deliver information to their customers. However, data centres consume much power. With TRC's more than 30 data centres worldwide consuming 30+ megawatts of power, it is evident that power costs are considerable. With energy costs becoming more volatile and predicted to considerably increase, TRC's immediate mission is to increase the power efficiency of their data centres and the application that reside within them to mitigate future cost rises.
