This request is to support the purchase of an Agilent 8453 series UV-Visible spectrophotometer capable of sophisticated biochemical and molecular analyses. The requested equipment will replace an existing spectrophotometer purchased seventeen years ago with assistance of NSERC that has failed. We propose to purchase a computer-controlled UV-Visible spectrophotometer with a diode array detector, multi-cell transport, temperature controlled cuvette holder, sipper accessory and required analysis software.
