This project aims to develop a generic platform to deliver design project modules remotely. The developed product will encompass some standard components such as I/O interface, cameras, sound cards; and some sensor-based hardware with flexible interface. It will be a programmable framework that can be upgraded with software and new project modules can be downloaded into the platform from the website. Depending on the project modules, the sensor boards and its requirements will be identified. For example, Arduino-based wireless sensor network consisting of a low-powered miniaturized Hall-effect sensor can be used to measure the speed of the motor on the platform for a particular project, and then appropriate instructions can be displayed on the screen for the users to adjust the design parameters based on the sensed result.
