This proposal is an extension of an earlier NSERC CRD project with Ballard, titled "Heavy Duty Fuel Cell Module Diagnostics, Control & Safety System Improvements." It is also intended to wrap up the unfinished tasks stemming from an APC project with Ballard that will end in June 2014. In this regard, the goal of this NSERC CRD proposal is to improve Ballard's fuel cell, fuel delivery system (FDS) performance by designing a model-based control strategy and on-board diagnostics system for a PEMFC stack system.
