This proposal relates to the development of a cloud-based data monitoring system for a robotic patient mobility device. This device allows care givers to get patients walking more rapidly and safely following surgery or as a part of an accident rehabilitation program. The system has critical information related to this process that could be useful to medical professionals, but this information is currently difficult to access. This project will thus endeavor to develop a computing system that will allow this data to be more easily accessible by implementing connection of the device to the Internet and developing specific capabilities to access and display the information in a meaningful way for the key users. This will allow further insight into the rehabilitation process potentially leading to further improvements in patient care.
