Mass production of complex hollow metal structures requires elaborated die design and increase production costs. The car industry requires such components to lightweight the vehicles and improve the fuel efficiency and electrical vehicles range. The project initiated by Vesuvius is to develop a removable core technology to reduce the production cost of such components and provide an alternative production process. Ultimately, the goal is to reduce next generation cars prices and improve their performances.
