英文摘要
The increasing demand for new contents necessitates developments and innovations in the studios' ability to rapidly produce and distribute animated films. The currently available software in the market offer automated animation pipelines, but they are expensive for small to medium enterprises and they require proper implementation and management to run. These software are often not much customizable to meet studio's unique requirements and workflow. To meet the novel and diverse product demands of the clients and to reduce the production time and associated costs, Outrageous Film Company (OFC), a leading Toronto-based film and television production startup-company that provides film production services including developing content, pre-production, and post-production services. aims to improve its production pipeline by automating some of the tedious tasks. To achieve these goals, OFC will collaborate with WIMTACH to develop a stand-alone application that automates part of the film production tasks (collecting and organizing assets and allocating them for production) and it will be integrated into the company's industry-standard tracking software. WITMACH, as a technology access and innovation center, with several years of successful and continued collaborations with diverse industry clients, is equipped to develop state-of-the-art technology solutions that address enterprise-specific business needs. The net result of this project will increase efficiencies at OFC and enable employees to focus more on improving the quality of the animated film. Employee skills and competencies will be enhanced through training using the cost savings. It will also provide the opportunity to upgrade the stand-alone application as a result of improvements in other areas of the enterprise production workflow. This application will generate revenues and open new market for OFC. Company will make the application available in the market through licensing.
