Reading practices which are likely to transfer to writing ability

本研究计划的目的是寻找有可能提高英语学习者写作能力的阅读练习。将前人研究中发现的有价值的阅读实践加以综合和具体化，形成了一份清单，并通过实验和课堂研究来考察该清单的有效性。结果表明，无论在实验条件下还是在正常的学校条件下，使用检查表进行阅读练习都能促进学生对写作的学习，提高他们的写作成绩。

The purpose of this program of research is to search for reading practices which are likely to promote EFL learners' writing ability. A checklist was created by synthesizing and concretizing reading practices which were found promising in previous research The effectiveness of the checklist was investigated by an experiment and classroom research. The results suggest that a reading practice using the checklist promotes students' learning about writing and improves their writing performance both under experimental and normal school conditions.
