Probing chromium binding proteins from Paramecium bursaria.

铬（Cr）是一种用途广泛的功能材料，也是一种稀有金属.本研究的目的是确定草履虫铬结合因子，可以积累铬在胞质溶胶中。为了筛选与铬相关的基因，我们用RT-PCR和差异显示技术分析了铬处理诱导的基因。Cr处理后，半胱氨酸蛋白酶等富含半胱氨酸蛋白的表达受到抑制。结果表明，半胱氨酸响应于金属被消耗的铬结合蛋白后，铬处理。

Chromium (Cr) is widely used as a functional material and one of rare metals in multiindustries. This study aimed to identify Cr binding factors from Paramecium bursaria that can accumulate Cr in the cytosol. To identify the Cr related factors, we analyzed genes induced by Cr treatment with RT-PCR and Differential Display. By the Cr treatment, expressions of cystein-rich proteins including cystein proteinases were depressed. The result suggests that cysteins being responsive to metals are consumed by a Cr binding protein after the Cr treatment.
