コロナ禍のために計画していた方言調査を実施できなくなった一方で、過去の調査で収集したデータの整理や分析に注力した結果、下記の実績を得た。日本語については、①岩手県田野畑村方言のアクセントが、東北方言（外輪式）の祖体系に最も近い体系であることを明らかにした。②福井県坂井市安島方言の重子音について、ff, bb, ss 以外にも、dd、唇歯鼻音等の重子音のあることを指摘し、その出現条件について詳細に記述した。③茨城県高萩市方言のイントネーションについて、「誰・何」等の不定語を含む文の音調パターンを記述した。また他の無アクセント方言との共通点を明らかにし、新たな音調パターンの可能性を指摘した。④天草方言の促音化について、標準語の促音化とは異なり有声阻害音でも特定の条件下で促音との交替が見られることを示した。⑤鹿児島方言および甑島方言についてモーラと音節に関する両方言の異同を考察し、モーラ体系から音節体系へと変化したとする歴史的なプロセスを提案した。琉球語については、①那覇方言の先行記述を再解釈し，Pn=n+1の多型アクセント体系が北琉球にも存在することを示した。②北琉球祖語から現代に至る音変化のプロセスについて考察し、その成果を論文にまとめた。③南琉球多良間方言のイントネーション研究を進め、イントネーションが韻律語単位で出現することを確認した。④南琉球宮古語伊良部佐和田方言のアクセントに関する新たな調査を行い、この方言の対立するアクセント型の数は少なくとも2であることを明らかにした。

The results of the survey, the collection and analysis of past surveys, and the results of the survey are summarized below. (2) North Ryukyu ancestral language from modern times to sound changes and research, achievements and papers (3) The research on the development of the southern Ryukyu Taranama dialect is progressing, and the development of the prosodic language unit is confirmed. (4) The number of new surveys conducted in the South Ryukyu Palace ancient language, Irobe and Wada dialects, and the number of pairs of dialects conducted in the South Ryukyu Palace ancient language, Irobe and Wada dialects, is relatively small.
