1. 幼児語の音節構造について幼児語(motherese)と成人の音韻現象を音節量という観点から分析し、両者の構造に共通して現れる際立った偏り・不均衡(asymmetry)があることを明らかにした。幼児語については「マンマ」のような「重音節+軽音節」の構造と「ポンポン」のような「重音節+重音節」の構造が一般的であり、その他の構造は皆無に近い。同じ傾向が成人語にも見られ、外来語短縮や言葉遊び等の新しく語を形成する過程に、この偏りが現れてくる。2. 言い誤りについて昨年度までの研究において、音位転換型の誤りの環境面の特徴を明らかにした。今年度は隣接するモーラという環境に注目し、2音連続の環境での調音のし易さが誤りに関わっているのではないかという仮説を立て、いくつか実験を行った。この結果、2モーラ連続を1つの単位とするまとまりは、調音のし易さ(調音可能性)の観点から重要な単位であるといってよいことが確認された。今回は、成人の被験者に依頼しての実験だったが、将来は幼児の調音可能性そのものを計測できるように実験を工夫したい。3. 吃音について幼児の吃音には自然治癒するものと、そのまま学童児、成人の吃音へと移行するものがある。今年度は調音(構音)の獲得と吃音の関係を考察し、発達過程における調音獲得の遅滞が、幼児の非流暢性の自然治癒を妨げているという結果を得た。4.特異性言語障害について新たに連濁の障害に関する補足実験を実施し、複合語の使用頻度が低くなるにつれてSLI児の正答率は著しく下がるという結果を得た。このことから、健常児が複合語を内部構造を保持した形でメンタル・レキシコン(心的辞書)に登録しているのに対して、SLI児は複合語を未解析の一つのかたまりとして記憶しているのではないかと推測される。
