統計的推測においては、通常、母集団分布から得られた無作為標本に基づいて未知の母数を推測する。しかし、必ずしもその母集団分布から無作為標本を得ることはできず、標本空間、すなわち、観測可能な標本全体を制限する必要がある。その母集団分布をどのように制限するかによって、そこからの無作為標本に基づく統計的実験と元の母集団分布からのものとの関係がどのようになっているかに関心がある。本研究においては、まず、Bayyarri and DeGroot(1987,1989)等の文献によって正規分布、指数型分布族の選択モデルにおけるFisher情報量を調べた上で、実験の比較を決定論の観点から行った。実際、一定の条件の下でFisher情報量を最大にする母集団分布の制限方法の1つとして最適な荷重関数を求め、具体的な分布の場合について考えた。その荷重関数は従来のNeyman-Pearson型の検定関数に類似のものになるが、その設定条件は異なるものである。次に、標本が同じ離散型母集団分布から得られたものであるか否かを検証するために、様々な検定方法が提案されている。最近、Brown and Zhao(2002)は、複数の確率変数が独立にそれぞれのボアソン分布に従い、それらの母数がすべて等しいか否かという仮説検定問題において、Anscombeの分散安定変換に基づく統計量によって有用な検定ができることを主張している。しかし、Anscombeの分散安定変換は母数λが十分大きいときに有用な方法であり、また標本が離散的な値を取るにも関わらず、その漸近分布をカイ2乗分布に近似させていることから、その精度は標本の大きさに著しく影響する。本研究では、より簡便なマックス検定統計量によるランダム検定を考え、Anscombeの分散安定変換に基づく検定等と近似マックス検定の水準の達成精度および検出力を数値的に比較し検討した。
