项目摘要

最終年度は主として次の調査・研究を行った。第一に、これまでの研究活動を通して培ってきた、現代社会に対応した国際理解教育を再構築するための知見を総括する形で多文化共生社会を構築する上でのキーワードをまとめた。これらは、平成20年度まで継続的に実施してきた他者理解に関する学習会の成果として報告書に盛り込んだ。第二に、新たな時代状況における国際理解教育のための理論や思想が見出せる事例を調べた。この点については、特にESD関連の資料を収集し、調査した。特に最近に刊行された「ソーシャル・ラーニング」などの知見から多くを学んだ。また、欧州やイスラム諸国で実施されている学校間協カプロジェクトには、新たな時代状況における国際理解教育に対する示唆に富む事例があることも分かった。第三に、国際理解教育や他者理解関連のテーマに取り組む実践者とグローバリゼーション時代の他者理解について検討する機会を持ち、他者理解の授業の枠組み等を吟味した。第四に、上記の枠組みに則って実際に授業で試し、その可能性と制約について検討した。授業については、研究代表者の担当していた異文化理解教育に関する講義を当てた。また、インタビューを含めたフィールドワークを授業の一環として実施し、そこで得た情報をもとに、教材作りや教案の作成を試みた。第五に、上述の通り、一連の学習会での成果を中心に、10名の専門家による講話を含めた報告書を刊行・配布した。
