研究課題であるSzego核の保型関数論的構造の研究は解析関数の構造論であり、2次元完全流体のなす速度場(ホドグラフ面)論でもある。与えられた解析関数を見るにはその境界挙動が分かればよい。それは、境界値をSzego核で積分すれば内点の値が出るからである。このことは、Szego核を調べれば解析関数が分かると言うことを意味している。本研究の特徴はSzego核を総合的に考え、常に自然現象や社会科学に還元することを試みる所にある。自然現象のいくつかのモデル化から解析関数が現れるのであり、理に溺れては科学とは言えまい。常に、素直な目で自然を見てこそ、解析関数も見えてくると考えている。この意味では本年度、我々は人事を尽くしたが、満足すべき成果を得たとは言い難い。自然が大きいと言うだけでなく、代表者自身が自然を見る努力を欠いたと考えている。本年度終り近くになって、若干の実験器具を購入し基本的な実験を試みたが、それを論文という形で発表するには至らなかった。数学教室には実験器具と言ものがほとんどなく、実験法の習得と準備に多大の時間を要するためである。準備は末だ完了していない。来年度以降は、研究課題を「流動総合」と改め、10年計画で流動に関する総合学をめざしていこうと考えている。論文[1]は多変数解析関数の構造を調べたものであり、[2]はTeichmuller空間の立場から解析関数を見たものである。[3]は流体力学の立場からSzego核を見たものである。
