研究代表者、分担者毎に整理する。安井は主として可微分多様体の複素射影空間への埋め込み(embedding)について研究した。n-次元複素射影空間CP^nから(2n-1)-次元複素射影空間CP^<2n-1>への与えられた次数(degree)の写像が埋め込みで近似出来るための条件を求め、プレプリントを作成した。さらにCP^r×CP^<n-r>からCP^<2n-1>への埋め込みに関しても存在条件を決定した。一般のn-次元多様体からCP^<n-1>への埋め込みの非存在に関し若干の結果を得た。上記の結果の実射影空間へのアナロジーも研究中で、2つの実射影空間の積(r-次元と(n-r)-次元)から(2n-1)-次元実射影空間への埋め込みの非存在に関し若干の結果を得ている。松本は、佐々木多様体のsemi-invariant部分多様体を研究し、概接触多様体のうちtrans-佐々木多様体のsemi-invariant部分多様体についていくつかの結果を得た。平行なLee形式を持つケーラー多様体に共形な多様体(一般化されたホップ多様体)内の平行な平均曲率を持つ全せい部分多様体について種々の結果を得た。一部の結果は論文にして発表した。佐々木は2-生成元のメ-ビウス群が離散群か否かの問題を研究し、Keen女史の結果と以前に佐々木が得た結果とを比較研究し、それらの結果を一般化し、論文として発表した。現在はこれらの結果を利用して、穴のあいたトーラスの変形空間を調べた結果を論文に作成中である。鹿野と八木は数論の立場から多様体の研究に貢献しようとした。数論の方面ではそれぞれユニモジュラー多項式の大きさの評価およびヘッケのL-関数の評価に関し若干の結果を得たが、多様体への応用には至らなかった。
