One of the difficulties of teaching scientific fundamentals is how to make students recognize why scientific fundamentals are so important and useful. This study, therefore, tried to solve this problem by teaching scientific fundamentals through teaching computer mechanisms which are usually more interesting for students. For example, each computer part can be explained principally and theoretically by scientific fundamentals ; Mathematics, Physics etc. We did practical study on such online contents using multimedia.Online textbooks, quizzes, Java applets for visualization, virtual experiments using Java3D, remote experiments over the Internet etc. were developed as the contents mainly on Learning Management System (LMS) ; WebCT, Moodle and so on. The internationalization with locale system and IMS were implemented for portability. The remote experiments supported communications to remote sensors not only by Java applets but also by a simple telnet command. Cooperation of several servers is very convenient and sometimes necessary for large systems, however, it makes authentication problems on different servers. We solved these problems by supporting CAS and realizing a single sign-on system. This authentication also make possible to save own parameters on a simulation for each students. The learning contents can be available not only for university students but also life-long learners on the NPO named "Kumamoto Internet Shiminjyuku".
