项目摘要

本研究課題は、「やさしい日本語」による医療的な情報を、音声や書き言葉で表し、その内容が(1)非日本語話者・ろう者にどれくらい伝わりやすいか、(2)外国語医療通訳者・手話通訳者による通訳の正確性を増すかを量的に評価しようというものである。１．非日本語話者(外国人)への伝わりやすさに関する量的測定：本年度は、①音声を聴いてそれが意味するイラストを選択するプログラムの開発、②参加者が聴く音源（文章）の設定を行った。文章は、単語のレベル(basic,日本語検定3級・4級）・構文・文章の長さ・分量等の難易度を基に、コロナワクチン接種会場での言葉かけにすることとした。２．外国語医療通訳者(日本語母語話者)の通訳の正確度分析と手話通訳者（日本語母語話者）の通訳のしやすさ・正確さ評価：測定に用いる医療的な情報の分量や難易度について検討した。その結果、国立国際医療研究センターが公開している外国語医療通訳者のためのテキストを用いることとなった。5つのシナリオを選び、研究メンバーで合議して「乳がんの検査結果の説明」と「腎盂腎炎の診断と治療法」についてのシナリオを用いることにした。それぞれのシナリオの「やさしい日本語」版を作成した。同程度の分量となるように調節し、録画した。それらの動画を用いて、パイロット調査を実施した。外国語通訳者には、終了後にアンケート用紙に記入してもらい、振り返りのインタビューを行った。手話通訳者群は、直後に各自でアンケート用紙に記入したのち、グループディスカッションを行った。外国語医療通訳者の通訳内容については、正確度分析を実施した。シナリオの難度が高く、「やさしい日本語」以前に、専門用語の通訳に手間取ってしまったこと、また、手話言語にとっての「やさしい」表現は、日本語とは異なる可能性が示唆された。３．医学生が「ことばの壁」を体験する「手話の病院」を実施した。
