本研究の目的は,理数系的な思考方法を習得するため,メタ認知を利用した新しい学習の枠組みを実証的な実験に基づき提案するものである.そのため,我々は,ある科学的な事象や仮説をコンピュータ上で描画し(外化),描画過程を見直させる(内省)リフレクションツールの開発をおこない,小学校等で試行し有効性を実証することを計画し,研究を進めた.平成18年度は,前年度の研究を踏まえながら研究を進めた.まず,これまでの知見等を元に,メタ認知過程が科学的な思考の育成にどのように寄与するのかを考察し,支援方法の検討をおこなった.次に,先の考察に基づき支援ツールの試作システムを設計し,計算機上のプログラムとして実装した.そして,研究協力校の協力を仰ぎ,徳島市内の小学校においてシステムを試用した.小学校6年生の理科「大地のつくり」の単元において利用してもらうことができた.試用を通して,我々が提案した学習の枠組みの有効性を検証するため,各種のデータを収集することができた.収集したデータの分析を通して,我々の提供したツールが学習者の外化や内省に影響を与え,その結果,論理的な思考の育成に寄与していることを示唆する結果が得られた.我々の提案した学習モデルに関して,一定の効果があるものと考えられる.また,徳島大学工学部の大学生等らおも対象に,試作システムを試用しデータを収集した.そこからも,学習効果を示唆する結果が得られた.なお,18年度を通じて,研究成果の公開を,各メンバーで適宜,関連する国内・海外の学会や研究会等で発表した.また,本研究の成果を広く紹介するため,現場の教員等に対するセミナー等を企画し,セミナーを実施した.また,試作ツールを広く利用してもらうため,WEBサービスの形で公開することにした.現在,サービス公開の準備を進めており,準備が整い次第公開する予定である.
