本研究は、中国宋代における禅宗仏教の思想的・美学的特質と、禅宗仏教が詩と詩学に対して与えた影響の解明を目的とするものであるが、本年度は前年度の研究を踏まえた発展的な研究として、特に次の二項目からなる研究を行った。1,中国宋代における禅宗仏教関連の著作に関する研究。2,中国宋代における詩と詩学関連の著作に関する研究。1の研究に関しては、前年度に引き続き、花園大学の研究者とともに宋代に編纂された禅の語録『正法眼蔵』と禅僧の伝記『景徳伝灯録』に関する解読を続けるとともに、その思想的・美学的特質について総合的な検討を加えた。その成果は、近く刊行される前掲書の訳注として公刊される予定である。また、分担者のZhou, Yukaiは、それを踏まえて仏教解釈学に関する論文を発表した。2の研究に関しては、前年度に引き続き、他大学の研究者も交えて、宋代の詩僧恵洪の詩集『石門文字禅』の解読を行った。その成果は、今年中に『石門文字禅訳注稿』として公刊する予定である。また、代表者の浅見、分担者のZhouはともに、2002年8月中国南京で開催された宋代文学国際学術研討会に参加し、それぞれ上記研究を踏まえての発表を行った。また、Zhouは大阪市立大学にて、上記研究成果を発表した。同発表は、日本語訳され『中国学志』に掲載された。このほかにも、Zhouの論文の日本語訳が近日中に公刊される。以上の研究を通じて、従来必ずしも十分な検討が成されてこなかった中国宋代における禅宗仏教と詩学との関係がある程度解明されることとなった。とりわけ、『石門文字禅』に関する研究は、同書に関する研究の嚆矢として重要な意義を有するであろう。
