项目摘要

本研究の目的は、1945年以後のオーストリアと日本の戦時期をめぐる「記憶の文化」のありかたがどのように形成され、また変容してきたかを歴史的に研究することにあった。そのため、特に最終年度においては、記憶の諸相を「個人-集団-社会」という現代的なつながりの中で考察することを試み、記憶の複数性が持つ問題性とその可能性について検討した。そのために行った研究は次のとおりである。1.オーストリアについては、マウトハウゼン元強制収容所記念施設、戦没者記念碑群、ユダヤ人迫害についての史料収集をオーストリア本国において行い、常に相克を引き起こす複数の記憶が並存する人間社会の諸相を考察した(成果は2005年秋に開催されるオーストリア歴史学会にて発表予定)。2.日本については、特に、一昨年度、昨年度に引き続いて今年度も東アジア歴史フォーラムのワークショップに参加し、史学史の再検討という観点から日本の近代をめぐる歴史的記憶の形勢とその問題性について議論・検討した。また、広く「記憶の文化」という観点から阪神・淡路大震災10周年にあたって神戸市内フィールドワークを実施し、震災の記憶が「防災」という方向に収斂されていく問題性を考察した(『神戸新聞』2005年1月18日朝刊および2月17日朝刊記事〔研究代表者談が一部紹介〕を参照のこと)。3.収集した写真、映像、文書の各史料を体系的に整理し、データの体系的なデジタル保存に努めた。4.今年度も日本国内の歴史研究に関する有識者を関西に招聘して研究ワークショップを開催し、そこで研究報告を行い、三年間の研究に対する第三者評価を受けた。5.本研究プロジェクトを終了するにあたり、より総合的に第三者評価をうけるため、これまでの研究成果をまとめた研究報告書「記憶のタペストリー-マイノリティ、ナチズム、戦争をめぐる現代文化の諸相」を自主的に作成・発行し、各関係者に配布した。
