In this research project we aimed to develop a computer software which support children to construct scientific idea and models, and to develop and to assess teaching models of science lesson using the software.1. Developing computer softwareWe developed the software for Windows named "Polka" that is a Repeat-Playable-Drawing System. The system can record all process of children's drawing and can replay the process of drawing. It support children's reflective thinking and ease children to construct scientific ideas. The software is able to download from the web site.2. Developing teaching models for science lessonWe asked cooperative member teacher of this research project to use Polka in their science lesson to develop some teaching models using Polka. Science lessons using Polka had conducted in several teaching unit ; e.g., pressed air, work of flowing water, electric current, photosynthesize, and each educational practice ware reported in conferences.3. Through educational practices the needs of function of animation in the software. Because in some teaching unit children usually present their idea as the changing process of the phenomenon. So we decided to apply the new research project to develop new software.
