Aberrant expression of Notch ligands in multiple myeloma

In the present study, we examined the pathobiological property of Notch system in multiple myeloma, especially so called" myeloma niche", which contribute the growth of myeloma cells thorough direct interaction or through humoral factors. The author found that several factors, i. e. TMEM207, were overexpressed by aberrant Notch functions. TMEM207 appeared to bind to WWOX, a tumor suppressor factor, and impaired the function of its tumor suppressor function.
