项目摘要

リアルタイムの言語理解のためには,自動的で予測的な統語処理は非常に重要である.その神経基盤を明らかにするために,報告者は統語判断に対する閾下プライミングの新しいパラダイムを開発し,行動,神経の両レベルにおいて,サブリミナルな統語処理のメカニズムの一端を解明することができた(後述).また,時空間に広がる神経活動を統計学的に正しく視覚化する解析プログラムを開発し,日本語の二重目的語文の統語処理に関するMEG(脳磁図)データに適用し,成果がPLoS ONE誌に受理された.当論文では,統語構造に基づく予測的な統語処理が左下前頭回において生じることを,二重目的語文を用いて更に詳細に検証し,この予測的な統語処理が,二重目的語文の基本語順によって増強されることを示した.これらの結果は,神経科学が言語学の理論を検証するのみならず,神経科学のデータから言語学における議論に対して提案を行う可能性を示唆するものである.統語判断に対する閾下プライミングの研究においては,上記の新たな解析手法をMEGによって計測した皮質活動データに適用し,目的語文の一致条件において,動詞提示後150-170msにおける左下前頭回弁蓋部・外側運動前野の反応に有意な増強が,行動指標におけるプライミング効果と一貫して,観察されることを明らかにした.さらに,一致条件において,目的語文に対して有意に減少した反応が左縁上回,後帯状回,中帯状回で生じることを明らかにした.これらの結果は,プライム動詞が,統語情報を選択的に処理する左前頭言語野の活動を促進し,統語情報以外の処理に関わる領域の活動を抑制して効率な処理をもたらしたことを示す.これらの成果については第34回日本神経科学大会およびNeurobiology of Language Conferenceなどで逐次報告を行い,現在,論文として投稿にむけて成果をまとめている.

Automatic predictive speech processing is very important for speech comprehension. In this case, the consistency condition is in the middle, the target language is in the middle, and the target language is in the middle. The result is that the speech field activity is promoted, and the speech field activity is suppressed. The 34th Japan Neuroscience Conference was held in Japan, and the results of the Conference were presented one after another.
