中華人民共和国の樹立後に制定された標準語は、北京方言を基礎としたものであるため、学界では長らく北京語＝標準語という意識が存在し、北京語の方言的独自性を析出しようとする意識に乏しかった。しかし、実際の北京語は標準語と異なる点が数多く観察され、特に清代後期から中華民国期に至るまでの北京語（近代北京語）は、標準語に継承されていない多くの独特な要素を有している。本研究の目的は、日本に所蔵される北京語の資料、たとえば小説、民間芸能、満（蒙）漢対訳文献、中国語教科書等を活用し、近代北京語の音声、語彙及び文法についてその機能や特徴、変化の過程や原因等を解明することである。平成２９年度の課題は、これまで収集してきた近代北京語資料に対する整理と分析を行い、そこから得られた知見を国内外の学会における研究発表及び研究論文の形で公表することであった。研究分担者は、近年発見された明治期の中国語教科書である深澤暹『北京官話全編』の副詞についての分析を公表したほか、北京大学蔵の戯曲作品『玉霜移蔵曲・十全福』の解題及びその言語的特徴に関する論文を執筆するなど、活発な研究活動を行った。特に、清中後期から中華民国期までにおける北京語の音韻変化を扱った論文が、国際的な中国語学会において若手研究者賞の最終候補になったのは特筆すべき成果と言える。また、研究代表者と研究分担者の間で進めている清代満漢対訳文献に関する共同研究では、清代に流行した満洲語教科書の一つである『清語易言』、及び旧約聖書の満漢対訳版である『古新聖経』について、現存諸版本を校合し、満洲語のローマ字転写と逐語訳を含む校注テキストを作成した。

After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, the standard language was formulated, the foundation of Beijing dialect was established, the consciousness of Beijing dialect was established, and the independence of Beijing dialect was separated. There are many differences in the standard language of Beijing dialect, especially from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China (modern Beijing dialect). The purpose of this study is to clarify the use of the data, novels, folk songs, Chinese literature, Chinese textbooks, sounds, words and grammar of modern Beijing dialect, its functions, characteristics, transformation process and causes. In 2009, the project of collecting and analyzing the data of modern Beijing dialect was carried out, and the research report and the form of research paper were published. The author of this paper has been actively engaged in research activities on the analysis of adverbs in the Chinese textbook published in Meiji period in recent years, and on the problem solving and speech characteristics of the opera work "Jade Frost Shift Song·Shiquanfu" produced by Peking University. In particular, the late Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China period, the Beijing dialect phonology, paper, international, China Language Society, if the final candidate for the award of researchers, special pen, research results. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a joint study on the relationship between the Chinese and Qing literature by the research representatives and the research contributors. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a popular Chinese language textbook, and in the Chinese version of the Old Testament, there was a "ancient and new holy book". The existing editions were collated, the Chinese language was written word by word, and the text was prepared with proofreading.
