2022年度は助数詞とそのホストとの間の関係に関する記述的なまとめを行うことを目標としていた。本年度は、いくつかの参考文献を利用し、助数詞の意味的特徴、形態的特徴、頭語的特徴に関して記述的なデータベースを作成することに費やした。その結果、全ての助数詞とはいえないが、50を超えるデータセットを作成することができた。このデータベースに関しては本科研費の研究期間を通してデータの収集を行うこととする。研究の公表に関しては2022年度には、関西言語学会第47回大会で研究発表を行い、田川 (2021) で提案された日本語語種と異形態の関係について発表した。この発表では、日本語の接辞に見られる語種交替は田川が主張するような異形態である可能性を補強すると同時に、分散形態論で提案される理論的仮定から自然に導かれるものであることを示した。つづいて、関西言語学会の発表内容を発展的に数詞の一部に応用した結果を第165回日本言語学会のワークショップにて公表した。この過程において、いくつかの重要な示唆が得られ、日本語のみならず、他の外国語や数自体のメカニズムに対して検討が必要であることがわかった。2022年度は今後の研究に関する基礎的な記述やデータ収集を行う期間として設定しており、その目的は果たせたと考えると同時に、さらなるデータベースの拡大を目指してデータ収集・記述を行う。2023年度は、対象を日本語だけでなく、他の言語に広げさらなるデータ収集、数に関する先行研究の調査、名詞句の構造化に関する研究を実施していく。
