2022年度の研究期間が2023年1月からの３か月間と短期間だったこともあり、学会報告や論文の投稿には至らなかった。しかし、内外の階層研究や貧困研究、生活時間研究に関する論文や書籍を整理、および社会調査データの二次分析を通じて、2023年度の研究の推進に向けた準備は十分に整えることができた。成果は大きく以下の2点として挙げられる。成果1：「放課後の生活時間調査，2013」（ベネッセ教育総合研究所）の二次分析を行い、小中学生の生活時間と成績格差との関連を探索的に検討した。記述的分析の結果、低階層かつ好成績、高階層かつ低成績の子どもの場合、低階層かつ低成績な子どもよりも教育的時間は長く、享楽的時間は短い傾向が見られた。また、それは小学生よりも中学生において顕著な傾向であった。この結果について、2月に開催された学外の研究会（2023年6月開催予定である日本子ども社会学会大会の企画に向けた研究会）にて報告を行い、学外の若手研究者との分野横断的な議論に至った。これらの成果をもとに、学術誌に投稿予定の論文を執筆中である。成果2：「放課後の生活時間調査，2013」の二次分析により、親が高学歴であるほど学校外学習時間が長く、テレビやゲーム、スマートフォンなどのスクリーンタイムが短い、という先行研究に整合的な結果が得られた。また、短時間の学校外学習時間、および長時間のスクリーンタイムの学業成績との負の関連も確認され、これも先行研究に整合的な結果だった。一方、「親学歴→学校外学習時間・スクリーンタイム→成績」というモデルにおいて、成績の階層間格差について生活時間の説明力は大きいとはいえないことが確認された。この点については、今後別のデータでも確認されるかを検討する予定である。
