Studies of DBAE (Discipline Based Art Education) has been introduction in fragments to Japan. But the results of this study give a total view of it as follows.1) Theoretical study of DBAE shows us a need to make research by means of multi-culturalism and comparative aesthetics. The concept of discipline in DBAE should integrate both the principle of education and arming. But the discipline showed by Getty Center emphasizes a phase of traditional western art.2) Study of the relation between theory and implementation in DBAE shows us the way of instruction from theoretical understanding of visual elements to applying it to making art works. The course of study in Japan looks like contrary to this process.3) The partnerships of schools with art museums has been proceeded by cooperative development of art games that is based at art criticism as one of disciplines in DBAE. Museum education has been experimental field on DBAE implementation for art teachers and museum curators.

DBAE（Discipline Based Art Education）是一种以学科为基础的艺术教育研究方法，它被零星地介绍到日本.但是，本文的研究结果表明：1）对DBAE的理论研究表明，我们需要用多元文化主义和比较美学的方法进行研究。DBAE中的纪律概念应融教育原则和武装原则于一体。2）对DBAE中理论与实践关系的研究，为我们提供了从视觉元素的理论理解到运用到艺术作品创作的指导途径。日本的学习过程似乎与这一过程相反。3）学校与艺术博物馆的伙伴关系一直通过合作开发艺术游戏来进行，这是基于艺术批评作为DBAE的学科之一。博物馆教育一直是艺术教师和博物馆馆长实施DBAE的实验田。
