英文摘要
In the drive toward increasing productivity and profitability, several tools and techniques have been developed**for companies to implement in their operations, such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Six Sigma, and 5S.**The growing number of tools and theories that can be utilized can make the process of selecting and**implementing these tools overwhelming for a company seeking to improve its operations. GO Productivity**works with companies in a variety of industries to aid in the design and implementation of productivity**improvement plans and requires the development of a quantitative program for productivity improvement that**will fit with their company values and reputation for providing valuable, customized productivity solutions for**companies operating in a broad range of sectors. This research will define a framework for quantitative analysis**of productivity in the three following phases: (1) determine GO Productivity's values and reputation in the**industry, (2) propose a framework for quantitative productivity analysis based on reviews of existing tools, and**(3) verify the framework based on testing in a client company. Through this project, the highly qualified**personnel will gain experience that will allow the specifics of their knowledge on process improvement in**office, manufacturing, and construction settings to be translated into an organized approach for a wide variety**of industry sectors. Canadian companies stand to benefit from this research through the development of a clear**framework to aid in productivity improvements, where assisting companies to select the right tool will aid in**the implementation of these tools and thereby allow industry to become more efficient. The successful**completion of this project will result in the creation of a useful tool with which the partner organization can**support Canadian companies with their productivity improvement initiatives.
