Detection of Carbon, Nitrogen, Hydrogen and Sulfur in Solid and Liquid Matrices Using an**Elemental Determinator

SAIT is requesting support from the NSERC Applied Research Tools and Instruments program for the**purchase and installation of the LECO 628 Series Elemental Determinator, CHN628 Series with a sulfur**add-on equipment for conducting carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and sulphur analysis of deposits in order to**prevent fouling in various ambient to high temperature water treatment processes and in new products**developed from recycling wastes. This equipment will enable NSERC Industrial Research Chair for Colleges**(IRCC) in Oil Sands In-Situ Steam Generation and SAIT's Environmental Technologies researchers to expand**their analytical testing and research capabilities to foster, stimulate and enable collaborations with SMEs,**industry and stakeholders in the Canadian oil and gas and oil sands industry and also provide valuable training**to the students, faculty and partner personnel.
