项目摘要

Agile Blockchain Corp. (Agile) develops supply chain and asset management software platforms to optimize workflow and logistics for any segment of the supply chain. Agile's platform is built on blockchain technology to gain the advantages of distributed ledger immutability and the non-repudiation of transaction and tracking data. Blockchain technology is not, however, ready for the great volume of data produced by the Internet of Things (IoT) and upcoming 5G networks. Agile's research has created a proprietary solution addressing this and other blockchain technology challenges to achieve throughput speeds several orders of magnitude higher--without reduction in functionality. Agile is now working with Seneca to understand, develop, and optimize the novel blockchain architecture to create a proof-of-concept implementation. The research collaboration will prove Agile's product approach and enable earlier commercialization to Canada's supply chains of its high-data volume solution, with significant impact on the multi-billion-dollar blockchain technology market. Seneca students on the research team will gain first-hand knowledge of blockchain technology, its implementation and cutting-edge adaptations to business use cases.
