SolidStateAI is a Canadian SME based in Toronto, who delivers specialized Machine Learning (ML) software to uncover optimizations in manufacturing processes, reduce downtime and quickly identify root causes. They understand the complexities of advanced manufacturing, and they know that ML offers a massive opportunity for manufacturers to solve their toughest challenges. Their product AIMS (Artificial Intelligence for Manufacturing Systems) is a software platform which helps manufacturers increase yield and throughput by allowing them to make accurate predictions on manufacturing processes by leveraging the data captured along the manufacturing line. SolidStateAI customers are in the semiconductor industry, aerospace industry, and beyond. Automated Machine Learning (AutoML) is an emerging domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It automates the tasks of developing ML models in order to make them accessible to users who are not experts in ML. The Center of Expertise in Smart Prototyping (CEPI) at Collège La Cité and SolidStateAI are interested in developing a long-term collaboration by structuring the applied research project into phases. This first collaboration, through the Engage grant funding will be about expanding the capabilities of AIMS with AutoML for Supervised ML, targeting the semiconductor fab process optimization.
